연구실 지원 방법 (How to Apply to the Laboratory)

연구실 지원을 희망하시는 분은 아래를 참고해서 메일주시기 바랍니다. 소프트웨어 보안에 대한 관심과 열정이 없는 지원은 정중히 사양합니다.

• (석사/박사) 대학원 입학 지원 이전에 최소 2개월 이상 연구 인턴 수행 필수
• 지원 서류: (1) 이력서, (2) 성적표, (3) 자기소개서 및 (가능하면) 포트폴리오
• 지원 방법: 위 명시된 이메일 주소(교수 및 지원담당자)로, 서류들을 첨부하여 지원

지원 조건 및 마음가짐 (Eligibility Requirements and Expectations)

SSP Lab은 당장 소프트웨어 보안에 전문적인 지식이 없더라도, 기본적인 컴퓨터와 소프트웨어 개발에 관한 지식을 함양하고, 보안에 대해 깊은 연구를 수행해보고 싶은 지원자들을 환영합니다. 특히 다음과 같은 마음가짐을 가진 지원자를 모집합니다.

• 보안 연구에 대한 열정: 단순히 학위를 따기 위해서가 아닌 연구에 깊은 관심과 열정이 있는 지원자
• 자기주도적인 성향: 시키는 것만 수행하는게 아닌 본인 스스로가 주도적으로 연구를 수행할 수 있는 지원자
• 중요한건 꺾이지 않는 마음: 연구가 잘 안되더라도, 공부에 어려움을 겪어도 극복해 낼 수 있는 마음을 가진 지원자

다음과 같은 배경을 가진 분들을 우대합니다.

• Offensive에 관한 기본적인 지식을 갖고 계신 분
• 영어로 말하거나 글을 쓰는데 충분한 능력을 갖추신 분
• 컴퓨터 보안 관련 기업에서 인턴십을 수행했거나, 근무한 경험이 있는 분

SSP Lab welcomes applicants who may not yet have specialized expertise in software security, but who possess a solid foundation in computer science and software development and are eager to pursue in-depth research in security. In particular, we are looking for candidates with the following mindset:

• Passion for security research: Applicants who have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for research itself, rather than pursuing a degree alone.
• Self-motivated attitude: Applicants who can take initiative and drive their own research, rather than only carrying out assigned tasks.
• Resilience and perseverance: Applicants who are able to overcome difficulties, even when research does not progress smoothly or learning becomes challenging.

Applicants with the following background will be given preference:

• Basic knowledge of offensive security
• Sufficient proficiency in spoken and written English
• Prior internship or work experience at a computer security–related company
